About
Dave Peacock is a creative director and designer based in Seattle, Washington. He leads multidisciplinary teams to create and build experiences that scale across channels and drive business results. As Group Creative Director at Merkle, a global customer experience agency, and as Associate Creative Director at boutique commerce agency LiveArea, he has directed creative for national and global brands including Alaska Airlines, Champion, General Motors, Sylvania, T-Mobile, and Under Armour. His approach pairs hands-on craft with a systems mindset: building efficient, scalable design frameworks that let brands stay consistent and ambitious as they grow across teams and touchpoints.
Dave's work has been recognized by the Type Directors Club, the Seattle ADDY Awards, Print Design Awards, and the Seattle Show, among others.
Alongside his creative practice, Dave is faculty in the Graphic Design MFA program at Vermont College of Fine Arts (a CalArts affiliate), where he guides graduate students through their research and professional growth. He writes and lectures on graphic design and its cultural impact; his book chapter Identities in Motion: Logo Introductions as Brand-Building Narratives appeared in The Theory and Practice of Motion Design (Routledge, 2018). Other published works include contributions to the design journal Slanted, the Bloomsbury Design Library, and Ilene Strizver's Type Rules! The Designer’s Guide to Professional Typography.
Dave holds an MFA in Visual Communication Design from the University of Washington and a BFA from the University of Utah. In his spare time, he enjoys collecting all genres of vinyl and exploring the Northwest with his family.
